Today my duties as a high school teacher involved holding multiple of my sobbing students while they tried to deal with the aftermath of a horrific car crash that claimed the lives of 2 classmates and 3 other students. Trying to conduct any semblance of class while looking at their crying faces was not in the job description. The little girl tears staining my pale pink work blouse break my heart and MMT.

Today, at 6:21AM my sister who is only 5 months older than me gave birth to her first child. Just after she found out she was pregnant, I found out I would never be able to give birth to my own child. For the last 9 months I thought I had succeeded at making myself believe I never wanted children. After gazing at my sister's beautiful little angel for the first time, I truly realized how much of a blessing it is to create another human being, and it hurts. MMT
