Today, I've been studying abroad in Spain for a month and a half and was feeling really, really homesick this afternoon. I was in my room on the verge of tears when the mailman knocked on my door with a care-package from my mom. It had magazines, food, a dress, and a card telling me how much she missed and loved me. Getting that package from my amazing, loving mom exactly when I needed it, MMT.

Today was our anniversary. The truth is after many abusive relationships where I was broken down, I am starting to feel good enough to look in the mirror for the first time in ages. You make me feel beautiful and happy and worthwhile. The fact that for the fist time I'm actually sincerely happy in a relationship MMT.

Today, is my 17th birthday and I'm laying in my bed with my best friend sleeping next to me. I can't help but think about how a few weeks ago I was in a bad horseback riding accident that broke my wrist and 4 ribs and gave me a concussion which sent me into a coma. The next day I woke up with my best friend holding my hand. Since then we have been inseparable, with her helping me every step of the way. Our friendship MMT

Today, a boy in his late teens bought me a rose. I'm a part-time cashier at a grocery store, and I'm in 71 years old. The boy was in my line checking out, and when I asked him, "Will that be all?" he grabbed the single rose out of the flower bucket sitting next to the register, paid for it, and then handed it to me. I smiled and blushed, and he said, "Mission accomplished!" MMT

Today, I was a bridesmaid in my friend's wedding. Since we met at summer camp eight years ago, we have only visited in person three times. Our friendship has consisted almost entirely of phone conversations and letters, and I feel that it is one of the most genuine and supportive relationships I have. Our special and resilient relationship MMT.

Today, I am the mother of a beautiful, happy, and completely healthy son who just turned 1. Before him I had 5 miscarriages in the second and third trimesters and my doctor telling me I will never be able to bring a baby to term. The complete devastation and depression I went through was completely worth the incredible bundle of joy in my life now. The simplicity of a healthy and happy baby MMT.

Today, I went clothes shopping for the first time in over a year. I've struggled with my weight all my life, but today I found that I dropped three dress sizes. I was forced to relocate when I took a new job last year. That simple change helped change my lifestyle, which in turn changed my size. For years I believed I couldn't be attractive because of how much I weighed. I'm not super model skinny, but I finally feel beautiful and healthy, and that MMT.

Today I hit two years working for Starbucks. I looked at my coworkers and realized how much I love them. They were the ones at my side when I was disowned by my family, made me start eating again, understood my sever anxiety disorder, and helped when I was self harming. One of them has even become my best friend. This place drives me crazy sometimes, and even though I came here to make money, I found a group of friends that are priceless. There is no doubt in my mind that I would be lost without them. MMT

Today, my sister sent me a text that said "I love you so much." Worried something was wrong, I called her and asked what was up. Laughing, she replied, "Nothing's up, Anna. I was just thinking today about how much you mean to me and what an amazing role model you've been in my life. I realized I haven't told you I loved you in over a month, and that's just not right when I love you this much." MMT

Today, my boyfriend and I were eating out when an older couple stopped us. The man asked, "Are you married?" My boyfriend said "Not yet! We're working on it!" the man replied "You passed!" the lady said to me "You've got a good one." I agreed. She said, "We just like to see happy young couples. You look good together!" It's nice to know there are still positive people in the world, and also that there are older couples who still believe in love. MMT

Today, as i sit in my room surrounded by my suitcases as i pack for my month long holiday overseas, i can hear my mom in the living room, laughing and joking with my dad. Less than 3 months ago she had a severe heart attack, died and went into a short coma. Today she is alive. Today I have my mom to see me off at the airport when I leave tomorrow, and no words or story will ever express how glad I am that I found her and managed to help save her life. MMT

Today, I waited at my boyfriend's house for half an hour before going home. As I angrily walked inside, I heard laughter. My clinically depressed brother, who hasn't cracked a smile in two months, was grinning as he watched a video on YouTube. Sitting next to him was my boyfriend holding the laptop. We had a miscommunication about where to meet, but when he saw my brother sitting alone he decided to stay and keep him company. His kindness MMT.

Today, I was feeling really down at my job as a cashier and just having an all around bad day. Just wanted to go home. Halfway through my shift a nice woman in my line, who's face I know but not her name, tells me how sweet I am and says "You must be the nicest, prettiest cashier they have here! I don't know why you're not out modeling." She made my night - made my week, really. The simple kindnesses that someone can bring to another MMT.

Today, I was at my friend's Allison's house for a girl's night with 2 other girls. After an evening filled with laughter, it was time for me to go home. Allison warned me of the deer that roamed the country streets and to be careful driving. She seemed sincerely conerned. She also asked my to call her when I got home to let her know I got home safe after my 20 minute drive back to the city. At 19 years old, the fact she wants me to call her to make sure I got home safe makes me smile and MMT.

Today I was at an arcade. I won a few thousand tickets and was trying to decide what to get from the prize counter when I saw a little kid staring longingly at the toys. He only had a few strands of tickets in his hand and his father was comforting him, because he didn't have enough tickets for the toy he really wanted. So, I bent down, tapped his shoulder and handed him all of my tickets. The surprised, excited look on his face was priceless and MMT.

Today, he's driving to my college apartment to spend my last week of school with me. This will be the first night of the rest of our lives. After 3 years dating long distance, a 12 month deployment to Iraq, and the rest of the time spent 3 states apart due to his serving in the Army, we are finally going to be together, permanently, in one place. Waiting this long for each other, and finally getting to start our life TOGETHER makes me happy and MMT.

Today my Ex husband asked me to marry him, I said yes. We were married when I was 19, divorced later on and then our lives somehow lead our hearts back together. We are going to be married in 2 weeks, on what could have been our 16th wedding anniversary. Our children cried with joy when we told them today. MMT

Today, my friend told me about her ongoing battle with depression and how she doesn't want to tell our other friends. I told her about my anxiety and how I usually don't tell people about it. We sat in the park for hours just talking about our problems. We used to fight all the time, but our new-found ability to connect and help each other MMT.
