I just opened the note and it reads, "Thanks for helping me follow my dreams." MMT

Today, I went on a charity run with my class of recruits. I was honored to be leading the class giving cadences during the run. After I gave the command to fall out, a young boy no more than 4 came up and tapped my leg. When I looked, he simply said, "Happy 4th of July Mr. Soldier. Thank you for my freedom." The fact that he was so young and still appreciative reminded me of why I do what I do MMT.

But I also know you are strong, I see it in your eyes.” Then he kissed my wounds and walked away. He’s one of the outsiders in our school, but today he became my hero. MMT
