Today, I stuck my hand into my coat pocket and found a 5 dollar bill wrapped around a note. The note read, "You have just been reverse-pick-pocketed. Enjoy the 5 dollars, and know that it was forcibly received by your pocket. Take that, society!" MMT

Today, for some reason the register at my local supermarket would not let my check go through. When I asked to see the manager, the cashier came to my side of the counter and swiped her own credit card. She said, "Honey, I see you in here all the time. Pay me back when you get the chance. Today, I was sitting on a bench in the French Quarter watching bubbles float by in the breeze that a little girl down the block was blowing. At one point, an elderly man who was having trouble walking stopped in the middle of the sidewalk to pop a bubble with the end of his cane. MMT

Today, while I was in line at an ice cream shop, this weird looking guy in front of me started talking to me. I decided to be friendly and chat back. Then he paid for his ice cream and left. A minute later, when I tried to pay for mine, the cashier said, "The guy in front of you paid for yours too." MMT

Today, my 6-year-old son and I were walking down the sidewalk of a busy city street when it began pouring rain. I didn't have an umbrella so I used my purse to try to shelter my son’s head from the rain. A minute later at a crosswalk, a young man tossed his umbrella out his car window to me, smiled, and drove off. MMT

Today, my Chevy Tahoe was retuned to me in perfect condition by the police almost a full month after it was stolen. The funny thing is, whoever stole it put a set of 19 inch rims on the vehicle that easily cost $1000 a piece. The police said they’re mine now. MMT
