Today, I returned home after traveling around the world for the last 4 months. And for the first time in 4 months, I felt completely lost. MMT

Today, I watched three young children meet for the first time on a playground in a local park. They all immediately acted like best friends, playing and laughing hysterically. They made me smile, and then I began to wonder why adults lack the ability to accept each other so easily. MMT

Today, a random guy I’ve never met before carried me back to my dorm and did everything in his power to make sure I was okay after someone drugged me at a college party this afternoon. He even went into my iPhone and called my friends listed in my favorites to come look after me. I don’t remember anything, but I know that without his help I could have died. MMT

Today, my 17-year-old daughter, Megan, didn’t put on any make-up. When I asked her why she said Katie, her 11-year-old little sister, started putting on makeup this morning too so she could be “beautiful.” Megan said she doesn’t ever want Katie to think she has to wear make-up to be beautiful. MMT
