Today, it’s been about a year since I first sat beside a mother and her special needs daughter on the train into downtown. I our first trip together the daughter asked asked me my name three times. I answered her all three times, and just figured that she would soon forget it and ask me again, but she never did. Now I see them on the train at least twice a week, and every time the daughter says, “Hello Jason” as soon as she sees me. Small moments like these make me smile and MMT.

My younger brother has Williams Syndrome and I have watched him do the same thing to complete strangers. More often than not, the strangers would ignore him or treat him as a lesser human being. So I just wanted to say thank you, I know that she and her mother appreciate you more than you could ever imagine and you MMT.
