Today, I received a package in the mail containing a lost journal I'd misplaced last week. There was no return address, only a post-it note stuck on the front cover saying, "I hope to be as strong as you someday." MMT

I don't know that I'd want a stranger reading my journal... But I don't think that's really the point here.

Obviously you wouldn't want a stranger reading your journal... But really, how much more sincere a compliment could you get?

I think this is great. It must have felt good.

Weird. Creepy. Odd. Who reads diaries and says that? Journals are only ever filled with the angst and depression that one feels; so either this person is trying to cheer you up because you've been through a lot (or not, considering its a diary, and big horrible things never get written about as it makes them too real) or they've just had to read a lot of stories about what you did with your day, and were being sarcastic.

Jesus. Do I smell sour grapes from these commentors?

I secretly wish this would happen to me.
