I'm in a similar situation that would never have materialized if I had not been laid off in early 2008. My wife is, too. We're in a much better place than we were just a year ago, and we close on our new house in 3 weeks. Sometimes the best things happen as a result of the worst.

Simillar thing is happening with me, I work for a small company earning 20000/- Rs They cut my pay under recession by abt 2500/- Now i am moving to Samsung.. for 40000/- Thanks for recession

Wait, this makes no sense whatsoever. A company employing 130 people but only turning $500,000 a year would be a company composed of slaves. Even if everyone made the same amount and operational costs were free, each individual would only take home $3846 dollars a year. That is only $10 a day. I call foul.

@ acbernal Net PROFIT, that means the company's income without taxes, wages and operational costs etc. Think before you post.
