Makes Me Think - Today, my little sister called. She's excited because a professor asked her to switch out of a class she's in and into the graduate level of the same class, saying she's too advanced for the lower leveled class. She's taking this class in the summer, meaning it crams 16 weeks of school into 6. She's 19. At the end of our talk, she said, "Keep this on the DL, okay? I'm doing this for me, not to show off to the world how smart I am." We grew up in a rough neighborhood, in a broken home with almost no guidance at all. My sister’s intelligence and drive MMT.
