Makes Me Think - Today, an elderly woman took her time as she counted out $5 in coins to pay for her groceries. When she handed me the change, I noticed she had given me two extra dimes. She told me to put them in the "take-a-penny" jar. Behind her was this couple who was making it obvious they were annoyed with the woman who paid in change. When it came time for the couple to pay, they paid in cash and ended up being short eighteen cents, so they had to use the two dimes. MMT
