Today, my ex-boyfriend is a United States Marine. He broke up with me a few days before his deployment after telling me that I had changed. The real reason? This evening, just after his deployment his brother called me and asked me to please write him whenever I can. He said, “Jon broke up with you because he couldn’t bear thinking about you being devastated after his death. dzbx - Before you go commenting on people's posts, maybe you should read it carefully. The OP clearly stated she was told "This evening, AFTER his deployment", and so how would you like her to tell him in person? She also said that she knows he reads this site.. Have a little respect. To the OP - Be strong for him. Your loyalty and comittment is something to be cherished. Hold onto it - it will be worth it in the end when the two of you are together. Prayers for you both.
