Today, I got pulled over on my way home from youth group for a tail light. My realization of the night: That I'm so blessed to have people around me that I've never met that have devoted their lives to try to make mine safer. MMT

wow... i never thought of them that way :)

It's their job, & they get paid to do it. Do you have the same kind thoughts toward those who dedicate their lives to making sure you're never more than a ten minute drive from a fresh cheeseburger?

lo1337a (this is an awesome username, by the way), I think it still says something positive about people who choose to dedicate their lives to that particular path, even if they do get paid. Torsitano, this was a good post - Thanks for the thought, and thanks for being thoughtful.

I agree with a lot of your comments lately, lo1337a. Of course, it probably doesn't help that the racist, homophobic, Fox News worshipping gun nut I went to high school with (who posted Facebook statuses like, Open the borders - for target practice!) decided to become a cop after failing the firefighting exam (entrance exam?) a few times. It's the same with soldiers. I would be careful with blanket gratitude.
