Today, I received an envelope in the mail stuffed with $600 in cash and a note that said, “Last week I bought a box of old records at your garage sale for $5. You told me your husband recently passed and that you were trying to start fresh. I sold those records on eBay for $1200 and I figured you deserved half.” MMT

:) Not exactly a RAoK, but still pretty cool.

Remember this. Always remember this post. When you get down, when you get depressed, when life gets you down, remember that the universe, God, or whoever you look up to, is looking out for you. No matter what, you'll make it.

Seems silly for them to send that much cash in the mail, but hey, $600. Nice work.

@easyt72000... http://www.nylvi.com/blog/the-worlds-10-most-valuable-vinyl-records/ vintage vinyls could easily go for $100 a pop. It all depends on how many records were originally made, the condition, if it has any odd flaws or mistakes on the sleeve. There are plenty of instances where people have gotten records for 50 cents at a yard sale and then found out they were worth hundreds.

Actually, nobody and nothing is looking out for you, which makes these acts of kindness so much more significant and meaningful. That woman didn't have to do anything for you, you could have been another fool underestimating the value of an antique or trinket or whatever she could have easily (and justifiably) taken advantage of. But you touched her in some way, and she looked out for you. That's powerful. Never take any gesture for granted.

I think this is fabricated. Records do not see for that amount on Ebay.

Loveeee!

What a kind gesture! Thank you for sharing! This has been posted on Little Momments of Awwws (on facebook bit.ly/ai3rYK, or @LMoAwwws). Come visit us for a daily dose of puppies, teddy bears, wins, and general warm n fuzzy stories from all around the inter-web.
