Today, I sat in class with my head down for most of the period. My teacher asked me to stay behind. I thought I was in trouble for not paying attention. Instead he said, “If you ever need someone to talk to, you know where to find me.” I intend to take him up on his offer tomorrow. MMT

It's good that there are still good teachers in the world. :)

There needs to be more teachers like that.

A teacher did something like that for me once. I declined the first time, but came back to talk to him after a few months. I'm not sure what state I would be in right now if I hadn't had him to talk to.

Let me tell you, teachers are sometimes the best allies. I decided to come in one day after school to talk to my teacher about science. It became a weekly thing and soon he became one of my closest friends at a time when I have none. He's helped me when other people can't, and I will forever be thankful that he made a spur of the moment decision to move to another state after teaching somewhere else for 8 years.
