Today, I've been off Heroin for a full year. One of my rehab clinic doctors told me I would be lucky to live through detox. But I made it. My fiancé and son just came in with a cake and sang to me, leaving me crying. My son then hugged me and said he was happy to see his real daddy again. MMT

Congratulations! I am with you. I'm 60 days into recovery as of yesterday, and for the first time in years, my mom said, out of the blue, "Thank you for being such a good son." I cried. You are a beautiful person for going through what you have been through, both positive and negative. Keep up the good work. We will never have to experience that horrible incomprehensible demoralization again.
