Today, I watched my beautiful little girl running though sprinklers in the backyard. As she laughed and screamed I thought that nothing in the world could make me happier. Six years ago I seriously considered having an abortion. MMT

WOW,...Thank you, that's a very emotional realization.

God bless you.

I'm pregnant now, and though I'm pro-choice, for not ONE second did I consider having an abortion or giving the baby up for adoption. I know myself far too well and know that I'd regret it every second of my life. I'm glad you made the right decision for you as well.

Your choice made you happy. Someone who had an abortion could say the same. I'm glad it worked out for you, and you didn't feel pressured in either direction.

wouldn't that be 7 years? MMT

Yes, God bless you... Having your baby should not even have to be a "choice"... What a shame.

It's a shame to reduce a thinking, feeling, living woman as an ambulatory womb, cat. You chose to become a mother which is very much in the line of being pro-choice. But to mourn what might not have been is ridiculous. I don't mourn my menstrual cycle because I could have gotten pregnant with my husband and raised a smart and beautiful child.

inspiring, but a bit contrived in your delivery.

@catroxursox save it for pat robertson and rush limbaugh. out in the real world we have to make tough decisions that don't coincide with your one world view

Anyone who wants to pass judgment on this woman for having such a wonderful epiphany should be ashamed of themselves. This is a great story and not one to be critiqued, this is not an essay or novel...She has not submitted this for editing; this is a life experience, an experience that brought tears to my eyes, along with a smile. Everyone's circumstances are different when it comes to the matter of abortion and with a story like this we must not be subjective. She is sharing a beautiful moment, a moment a large number of women can relate to. You who pass judgment, can you say you are an innocent? I think not. I also would put money to say you have played the hypocrite in many instances. So again I will say, beautiful story AND KEEP YOUR FEEDBACK OBJECTIVE. This is not about what is morally right or wrong when it comes to abortion, it's simply showing one woman's choice and the beauty and appreciation of life that became because of it.
