Today, while I was driving my grandfather to his doctor's appointment, I complained about hitting 2 red lights in a row. My grandfather chuckled and said, "You always complain about the red lights, but you never celebrate the green ones." MMT

My mother insists that she has incredibly bad luck at stoplights. She says that she is always the one waiting, or that others aren't in a hurry. When I'm riding in the car with her, I like to point out when she comes across green lights to remind her that her luck isn't as bad as it seems :) It's interesting how we tend to notice inconveniences more often than the little bits of luck.

It's the full moon effect. We tend to attribute strange events to the "full moon" when it's present, but never think about the moon during odd happenings when it's not full.

Aww (:

illusory correlation.

Brilliant thought! :)

Old people, they are so cute when their optimistic.

So true! I've never thought of it that way before!

Did the grandfather never drive to work? I always celebrate green lights during rush hour.

thats amazing. If you are interested in lighting you should check out http://sabineslightfixtures.com. They do interesting things with lighting and light fixtures.
