Today, I found out that I could become paralyzed at any moment in time due to a bad cyst on my spine. I went to work and listened to everyone bitch about bills, bosses, and family problems. When I got home, I kissed my boyfriend, hugged my friends, and appreciated the movement in my body. MMT

Aw, good luck. Are you going to (or can you) have surgery for it?

I was a paraplegic for several months. I was extremely lucky to have recovered at all, much less almost 100% as I have. There's not a day that goes by where I don't appreciate the fact that I can walk and feel my legs.

I had the exact same issue! I went in with hip pain and they did an MRI and found not one but three cysts all on my spine. They told me I could wake up paralyzed. They biopsied one of the cysts and it was all fine, I am perfectly healthy and just live with them, they are like my little buddies I guess haha

I had a cyst for two years. I was afraid to let anyone see it, because it was at the base of my spine, right above my butt. When I finally let a doctor look at it, he told me that it was infected, and if it wasn't taken out, it could spread and grow, and paralyze me from the waist down. I had the first surgery that day, and the last in December. It's still not totally healed, but I'm not in so much danger any more, and it doesn't hurt as much. You should do whatever you can to get it taken care of.
