Today, when I saw the little red friend request notification at the top of my laptop’s screen, the last thing I was expecting to see was a friend request from the woman who killed my parents in a DUI accident 15 years ago. MMT

she has some nerve adding you as a friend. i hope you ignored it...

i would assume this woman was reaching out to you for no other reason than to apologize (it was a DUI, maybe she is now in a 12 step program, like AA, step 9 is to try to make ammends with everyone your drinking hurt directly or indirectly. im sure she is also looking for some sort of closurer and was hoping apologizing to you for what she did will also in someway or another also bring some closurer to you also.

If you're in a 12 step program, they encourage you to make amends, yes. But I highly doubt they're suggestion was an out of the blue facebook friend request without a message to accompany it. I'm sure there's better ways to find CLOSURE.

i hope you accepted it - if it was that long ago, maybe she deserves a second chance. your parents would want you to move on, right?

I would send a well thought and heavily aggravated message to her, if I were you.

I hope that she wants to reach out to you. I hope you are able to hear her. I hope you don't listen to #6
