I can relate to that. You don't realize how much they mean to you until they actually move away and you are left to sit there and think how things will go from there. It's hard to tell someone how much you care, especially if you have no idea as to what they are thinking on their end. Sometimes things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right.

I have the opposite experience. My best friend is sort of crazy. I love it, but I can't take it in large doses. I love her so much more when she's halfway across the country.
