Today, I started packing for college. I spent the day scrutinizing every single thing I could possibly need. But once all of my belongings were in a heap on the floor, I realized that the things (people) I really don't want to leave behind can't go with me. MMT

I'm leaving for college in a week too...I know exactly what it feels like :/

i'm going into my second year of college and this is how i felt last year leaving- it was the worst. this year is a little better because you'll get to see all of your friends at school breaks when you come home, and you can talk to your parents on the phone every day and you will get to see them when you come home. i know there's no substitute for actually being with the ones you love, but just stay in touch with the friends you truly care about, and when you come home on breaks nothing will have changed.
