You should be very proud of your son:)
coolest little dude ever.
A wise person once said, never let school get in the way of your education. It's not going to be easy for your son. I'm sure you understand. Enroll him in classes at the art museum, take him on nature trails, sign him up for the library's summer reading program. I was one of those kids who hated school so much by the end of it I almost couldn't complete the coursework. What motivated and saved me was having all these other outlets (like a student volunteer position at a military history museum) to engage in learning, not just memorization and recitation. Free him from the chalkboard.
I'm 15, and cannot agree with your son more. I hated school for 10 long years. I still regret the time that society stole from me, and I can never get it back. Now, I'm free. I'm out. I'm learning and reading and meeting and playing and speeching and working and loving it.
I greatly advise you to look up a book called "The teenage liberation handbook, how to quit school and get a real life and education"
