Today, as my colleague and I installed a new home theater system in a mansion in the Hamptons, the maid skipped around the house, smiling and singing as she cleaned and the owner of the mansion stormed around from one room to the next with a phone to his ear, screaming and frowning about some business deal. I really like this story. I can tell already that the maid is a wise, wise woman. She is enjoying life to the fullest. The owner of the mansion still has a lot to learn about life. Hopefully one of these days he'll learn that those material possessions won't be with him forever. Friends, family, and the joy of life will. The maid already has more than the mansion owner can even begin to imagine.
