Today, I found out why my mortgage broker didn't show up for our meeting this afternoon. I am in the final stages of purchasing a house, so I was very angry that he was a ‘no call, no show.’ But it turns out, a day after scheduling our meeting, he unexpectedly passed away. MMT

I can sympathize with your situation. When I was in elementary school one day my baby sitter didn't meet me at the bus stop the way she did every day. I was angry that she could forget about me, and as an 8 year old would have taken my anger out on her. I found out the next day that she had none come to meet me because she had hung herself. I felt ashamed for being so selfish. I am sorry for your loss.
