I'm sorry for your loss. Hang in there.
And people wonder why I never go to beaches. My pool doesn't have surprise rip tides and strange animals lurking under me, so I would much rather the nice, clean body of water in my own backyard thank you.
My pool doesn't have attentive life-guards who can perform CPR or accurately gauge when I'm in trouble & need help. I would much rather a nice, guarded beach where there is a chance of help, rather than being at home with no one else.
Hardly any beaches I know have lifeguards. And home pools should be used under supervision no matter who is in them. All water is dangerous.
Sorry for the OP's loss.
