Don't feel like you have to forgive her for the five years she shunned you.

While it's true you don't HAVE to forgive her, you SHOULD. She's gone, so it won't do her any good, but it will be good for you. Harboring those feelings for her will make looking back on her memory very difficult. Don't forget, and don't excuse, but do forgive. For you.
