Great man - teenager who didn't wear a seatbelt.
I don't usually comment on these posts, in fact I don't think I ever have. But I thought that you might benefit from my story... About a year and a half ago, the love of my life, the man who had just asked me to marry him, and the father of my then unborn son, was run over by a car when his motorcycle was hit by a semi-truck. Valentines Day this year, it will be two years and I still think about him everyday. I love him everyday, and every time I look at our son I see his face. He would be so proud of me and how much I have grown. And your boyfriend will too. I can't promise that its ever going to be like it was, but I promise you, from the bottom of my heart, it will get better and I am so truly sorry for your loss.
My father died in a car wreck before I was born. Though I'm certain my parents would've divorced and I am blessed with an ex step father whom I still call my dad 35 years after they divorced, it has been something that has bothered me off and on my whole life. At 40yo I have the best dad in the world still, but I still cry and visit my real dad's gave often.
At 35 I was crushed to read his obituary and see I was not in it. Did he know I even existed? (yes). Make sure your child knows this. Lie if you have to in order to make him/her feel loved. Make sure he gets to know as much of his/her dads family as possible. My dad had 5 siblings I have seen only a handful of times. Its been so odd. I love when my family tells me a story Bout my father.
Save ever freakin picture. I have about 7. Save every piece of the father and his stuff you can. A shirt can mean sooo much. I'd straight up kill over my fathers pocket knife and the handful of items my brother and I have.
If I can ever help someone in this situation, I will. Any time. My email address is my username at (yahoo.com). Email me and I will provide contact info and will always help.
@Cgibbey :/ Thank you for the help. @elizabethjeffers5683: Thank you
