I have lived life like that in my mothers presence for 6 years since she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. She has beat it and lung cancer too since then. I fear the next time she starts a sentence with... well the doctor got my results and... I hope you don't have to go through that. But I hope you keep the outlook.

When I was 11 years old my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. She went through kimo and so many other terrible things. She said to me once that faith is what helped her get through the worst times. I'm 18 and she's still alive today.

My friend's mother just recently found out she has breast cancer after 23 years in remission. She's 86, had a mastectomy when she had it the first time, and can't have chemo. She's still doing everything she did before the diagnosis and living her life like normal, because what else can you do? Give up?
