.....is she lesbian?

commentor, my first reaction was to type in all caps and swear at you, but I am not like that. No, I'll leave that to someone else but, being a lesbian has nothing to do with that. Your comment is offensive to me and it sounds homophobic, ignorant and offensive. How does being a lesbian have anything to do with the post? IT DOESN'T! On the post, that's to bad. Sometimes, people are afraid of being loved, so they push the person willing to love them away. I know I do...

Erm, #2, the first comment didn't sound at all homophobic. Excuse us for immediately thinking that the majority of men love women, but it sounds like he told a friend that he loved her and she wasn't interested. With that interpretation, her being lesbian may have everything to do with it.

I'd have to agree with #2. While I didn't find the first post offensive, it wasn't very thought-through... The post says she doesn't want to be loved. Suggesting she's lesbian would suggest that homosexuals don't want to be loved, the majority of the time. It said nothing about her not wanting to be loved by him or by a man or anything. Just that she didn't want to be loved at all. That has nothing to do with sexual orientation because love is real from both angles.

it doesn't say she doesn't want to be loved by him, suggesting there is someone else. It says she doesn't want to be loved at all. So yes, #1 your comment wasn't very smart.

Um actually, it didnt say either "she didnt want to be loved by him" OR "she didn't want to be loved at ALL". It just said "she didn't want to be loved" which could be EITHER of them....so the first comment could make sense..

I'm so sorry that the girl you love doesn't want you or anyone in return. Girls are usually more heartless than guys... but for some reason, society just doesn't see it that way.

#6, If you say "I don't want to be punched in the face" to someone, are you saying that you could mean that you just don't want to be punched in the face by them? No. If you say "I'm not ready for a relationship now," does that mean just not with the person you're talking to? No. So when this person says "I don't want to be loved," it should be an understood basic concept that, since she didn't specify otherwise, being loved is a broad term that covers everyone, not just who she's talking to.

Sam Fisher, first of all, if you say "I don't want to be punched in the face" it all depends on the context of the situation you're in. Same with "I'm not ready for a relationship right now" Also, both of these things are something that I would personally say. But in this story, it doesn't state that the girl said "I don't want to be loved". The OP is the one that made that statement, so you could say that she just didn't want to be loved by the OP. NOTHING that the girl said was stated in this story, so think next time before you post.

Ugh. YES it depends on the context, but we don't KNOW the context. If one was to assume EITHER way, however, assuming that we should take WHAT THE WORDS SAY instead of ADDING WORDS THAT AREN'T EVEN THERE makes more sense. YOU think before you post.

I assume the OP was slapped with a restraining order.
